Houston School of Flowers provides hands-on floral design education for those looking to develop both their creativity and technical skills.

The founder of the Houston School of Flowers is Certified Floral Designer, Pat Hermes. She directed the school for 38 years, instructed floral design for Rice University, and was published in the Houston Chronicle in 12 featured articles.

Our director and instructor, Caroline Doré, began her journey with floral design when she attended Pat’s floral arrangement class. She fell in love with designing flowers and competed the school’s classes before becoming a Certified Floral Designer. She built her floral foundation working with florists in Texas and Alabama, where she created arrangements for weddings, special events, and funerals.

The Houston School of Flowers provides a welcoming setting in which to learn, create, and gain floral industry experience.
